Sakarya University has continued to develop with the newly opened departments over the years. The signboards of the university change very frequently for various reasons such as the construction of new buildings, the opening of new departments, the arrival of new lecturers, changes in positions, changes in the usage functions of the used buildings or rooms.
Since the university did not have a ‘corporate orientation guide’, variations such as different designs, different materials and different fonts began to be experienced with each changing signage, and the brand image of the university began to suffer.
With the design of Sakarya University Orientation Guide, standard signboards to support institutionalism were created and delivered for every title that may be needed at the university.
The catalog includes the following titles:
- Typography, Colors, Pictogram List
- A. MAIN ROAD SIGN: Main Road Directions, Main Road Building Descriptions
- B. OUTDOOR SIGN: Outdoor Directions, Outdoor Definitions
- C. INTERIOR SIGNBOARDS
- Indoor Directions, Indoor Directions, Indoor Designations, Information and Restrictive Signs
In the renovated Sakarya University Central Library, the designs in the guide began to be used.
